After the Samsung Bada Developers’ Day in Australia, Samsung has now taken its open mobile platform, Bada, to the Indians. It is planning to organize a Bada Developers’ Day Challenge for developers in India. That’s not it, the winning amount is a whooping $3 million.

Mr J.S. Shin, President and Chief Executive Officer, Samsung South West Asia said “I see the launch of Bada platform as an opportunity for Indian developers to get their applications onto an unprecedented number of Samsung devices across the world.” He also said that the company was making smartphone development their main area of focus because the consumers no longer looked at a mobile phone merely as a device for voice communication.
